Exosome in Biopharm
Online InquiryExosomes can be designed to display specific ligands on their surface to target specific cells and can be loaded with different drugs that can be located on the membrane surface or carried within the exosome. Compared to lipid nanoparticles, these intracellular vesicles exhibit lower immunogenicity and significantly reduced toxicity, but with improved drug encapsulation and greater in vivo biodistribution. To further promote the development of exosome-based genes and drug delivery, Creative Proteomics provides a range of customized and inventive services and solutions, including exosome isolation and purification, exosome identification, exosome proteomics analysis, exosome metabolomics analysis and so on.
Comparison of exosomes and liposomes in delivering therapeutic materials
Liposomes are the earliest nanoparticle delivery platform. Liposomes are generally small circular vesicles with hydrophilic nuclei, consisting of one (unilamellar) or more (multilamellar) phospholipid layers that facilitate uptake by cells via endocytosis or endocytosis-like mechanisms. Compared to liposomes and other synthetic nanocarriers, endogenous sources confer a large number of unique properties to exosomes in targeted delivery. However, for the application of exosomes as drug carriers, the endogenous origin may be a double-edged sword.
