Targeted Proteomics Services

Targeted proteomics can be seen as a new generation of MS-based WB technology, which is more sensitive, accurate, and simple, and is an excellent solution for protein research. In our pioneering role in protein research, Creative Proteomics provides clients with a wide range of targeted proteomics services.

What is Targeted Proteomics

Targeted proteomics is a technique developed from proteomics that specializes in the quantitative study of specific proteins. Compared with non-targeted proteomics, targeted proteomics selects ions for mass spectrometry data collection, so it can be used to analyze a large number of samples with better accuracy, sensitivity and reproducibility. Targeted proteomics can be applied to system-level studies of post-translational modifications, protein conformation, protein-protein interactions, kinetics, and metabolic and signaling pathways.

Applications of Targeted Proteomics

Targeted proteomics enables precise analysis of specific proteins, both qualitatively and quantitatively, as well as for validation, and is therefore widely used in various areas of biomedical research and drug development, such as protein biomarker validation, post-translational modification studies, drug discovery, protein interaction studies, personalized medicine, food safety, environmental monitoring and systems biology, etc.

Our Service

Leveraging our extensive experience and expertise in the field of proteomics, Creative Proteomics offers a full suite of high-quality targeted proteomics services. These services are designed to meet a wide range of research needs and objectives, providing valuable insights into the systematic study of proteins. The services we offer include:

PRM Targeted Proteomics Analysis Service

PRM (Parallel Reaction Monitoring), the current mainstream method for targeted proteomics data acquisition, achieves relative or absolute quantification of target proteins by selectively detecting specific peptides or target peptides. PRM is an upgraded version of MRM/SRM. The principle of screening target proteins in primary mass spectrometry is the same for both techniques, which is to screen precursor ions for the next step of detection through a four-stage rod, and the difference is the detection mode of secondary mass spectrometry. In secondary mass spectrometry, MRM/SRM detects specific fragment ions to quantify and characterize proteins in a one-to-one manner, while PRM detects all fragment ions. Thanks to the comprehensive detection mode of secondary mass spectrometry, PRM technology is much more sensitive and resistant to interference, as well as simpler and easier to use.

4D-PRM Targeted Proteomics Analysis Service

4D-PRM Targeted Proteomics is a combination of PMR and 4D separation technology, which introduces a fourth dimension based on traditional 3D separation technology (retention time, m/z, intensity): ion flow separation. The integration of ion mobility separation into PRM targeted proteomics not only accelerates the scanning speed, but also improves the detection sensitivity and improves the performance metrics of proteomics analysis.

PROTAC Assays Service

PROTAC (Proteolysis targeting chimeras) is a targeted protein degradation technology that targets proteins with the help of UPS (Ubiquitin Proteasome System), which is a major pathway for cellular regulation of protein levels and is involved in the degradation of more than 80% of proteins in the cell, and is used to degrade damaged or no longer needed proteins in the cell. PROTAC is a bifunctional molecule that binds to both target proteins and E3, ubiquitinating target proteins that are not otherwise E3-bound and thus recognized by the proteasome and degraded by the proteasome. Unlike traditional small molecules that target the active site of protein kinases, PROTAC can target proteins that do not have an obvious active site, which can significantly increase the number of target proteins, and allow researchers to utilize existing E3 ligases to process newly discovered target proteins, increasing the design options for PROTAC. In addition, the flexibility of the PROTAC molecule itself makes its application very promising.
